Reiki Therapy
Reiki (ray-key) is the Japanese word for universal life force that runs through all living things. Reiki is in many instances used passively as a relaxation therapy, the healing aspects of Reiki have largely been forgotten. This is pretty much the accepted way of working with Reiki in the Western traditions. The founder of Reiki used and taught Reiki as a means of healing. Reiki was used actively to treat illnesses, injuries and all conditions directly.
Reiki can help with reducing stress, relaxing,
I often use Reiki at the end of a Reflexology treatment. There is no contra-indications and Reiki is a non-invasive therapy, everyone can receive this treatment and can be received alongside other conventional or complementary ttreatment and often helps to provide emotional support during recovery.
What happens during a treatment?
Healing is carried out lying or sitting down fully clothes whilst I place my hands on or close to your body where it needs to be healed. It is deeply relaxing and all you have to do is be aware of your breathing.
As Reiki is a complimentary treatment, it should never be used as a replacement for any medical treatment.
