Hopi Ear Candling - Thermo Auricular Therapy

Ear Candles are hollow tubes made of unbleached cotton, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs.  Often, one end of the candle of tapered for easier insertion into the ear canal.

​

The candle work by vapourising their ingredients once lit, causing convectional airflow towards the first chamber.  The candle creates a mild suction, which lets the vapour gently stimulates the eardrum and auditory canal facilitating removal of excess wax and impurities.  

​

Once the candle is placed in the er it forms a seal, which enables wax and other impurities to be drawn out of the ear.  

​

It is important to note that the candle does not suck wax out of the ear; it stimulates the ear to eliminate the wax naturally, ensuring maximum safety.

​

Only BIOSUN Ear Candles are used for this specific treatment.  They are medical products Class IIa according to medical device directive 93/42/EEC, and are regulated tested by independent institutes.  You will therefore be confident that the candles are made to the highest quality and safety standards.
